Fire dampers

Fire dampers are usually a part of HVAC system and being installed together with ducts. These kind of dampers are used for passive fire protection.

KOMFOVENT produces a wide range of fire dampers with circular and rectangular connections. All KOMFOVENT fire dampers housing and all inner parts are made only from fireproof materials. The housing is made of galvanized steel sheet or stainless steel.

  • Nominal sizes: Ø100–1000 mm;
  • Fire resistance up to EI120S;
  • CE certified acc. to EN 15650;
  • Tested acc. to EN 1366-2;
  • External Casing leakage class C acc. to EN 1751;
  • Internal leakage class 3 acc. to EN 1751;
  • The UVA housing is made of galvanized steel sheet DIN EN 10142.

Main characteristics of rectangular fire dampers:

  • Sizes from 200×200 mm to 1600×1000 mm;
  • CE certified according to EN 15650;
  • Tested according to EN 1366-2;
  • Fire resistance up to EI120S;
  • External casing leakage – class C acc. to EN 1751;
  • Internal blade leakage – class 3 acc. to EN 1751;
  • The UVS housing is made of galvanized steel sheet DIN EN 10142.

Operating principle

Normal conditions, ventilation system is running, fire damper is open.

Fire breaks out, the temperature reaches 72 °C degrees. Fire damper closes because of melted fusible link.

Fire stopping sealant expands, seals the gaps and prevents spreading the fre and smoke to other compartments or premises.
